So I know a few people who are photographers. Something that can be a struggle is helping the family coordinate a cohesive look. I’ve seen a number of families do the white shirt and jeans look. ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that. But it’s been done before. And it doesn’t have to cost a lot.
I do think that jeans are a good start. There are plenty of options for all age groups at places like Old Navy and JC Penney. But let’s be honest, most of us have a FEW pairs of jeans to choose from. I do think a darker wash is a better look.
So, what do you do on top? These are for spring-time photos, so I think either some great pastels or some bright summery colors. It has to coordinate, but that doesn’t mean it has to MATCH! Here are some options I think would work for a family with Mom, Dad, Son, and Daughter. If you click the picture, it should link you to the website.
Let’s start with the Daughter:
For the SON:
What do you think? Does this give you some ideas? Try not to have more than 2 prints, and those prints have to be able to coordinate. And a stripe isn’t necessarily ruled out if you have prints already. Then Dad shirt with stripes is basically a neutral stripe that can coordinate with a number of other prints.
And ok, so I included one WHITE top. But it has colorful butterflies! I LURV that top… it can transition from spring, to summer to fall… just add sandals, or a sweater, or some cute jean shorts!
